'MAËL&LUCI'

‘MAËL & LUCI’ explores the uncertainty and duality within human existence—the question of whether one’s path leads to heaven or hell. The painting features two flowers that appear as opposites, yet are not as far apart as they seem.

The larger, angelic flower is named MAËL, a reference to the ancient archangel Samaël—once a divine being who was cast out of heaven and transformed. That same figure, in many traditions, is now known by another name: Lucifer.

The second flower, shown upside down, is named LUCI, symbolizing this fallen transformation and alluding to the Devil's descent into the underworld.

Together, these two forms reflect the thin line between light and dark, virtue and fall, and how easily one can become the other.

As with every piece in the HOLY NATURE collection, this painting is a reminder that nature remains a far more powerful and enduring force than human life.
